Victoria Harbour, the deep water harbour between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, is one of the city’s greatest assets. With the attractive nature of the show, its official name is ‘Symphony of lights’. The show is the grandest free light show one can witness, which will be fascinating for the travellers to witness. The lights of the Victoria Harbour are synchronised with a laser show moving to match the rhythm of the music supplied. To listen to the music people need to be at the waterfront promenades on both sides of the harbour. The show takes place at 8pm every day creating an awe-inspiring atmosphere with colourful lights, searchlights and laser beams performing an extraordinary spectacle that celebrates the spirit, diversity and vibrancy of Hong Kong.
The show is in five main themes which are Energy, Awakening, Heritage, Celebration and Partnership. Each theme takes turns one by one as the audio speakers do the introduction. The best spots to get the best view of the Symphony of lights include the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the Avenue of Stars and sightseeing ferries such as the star ferry.
