Indulge at the Sweets and Snacks Middle East Exhibition

The greater Middle East Region and North African region, commonly referred to as the MENA region has experienced an unprecedented surge in the savoury and sweets industry with demands for snacks of this type and chocolate amounting to high amounts.

Based on this turn in the industry, the Sweets and Snacks Middle East Exhibition organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and Koelnmesse GmbH, held in conjunction with the Sea food Exhibition (SEAFEX) and Specialty Food Festival has seen a phenomenal interest directed towards it. Each year the exhibition has had to increase its exhibition space and number of stalls due to the rising demand both by exhibitors and visitors.

Featuring every imaginable aspect that goes towards the making of Sweets and Snacks, including raw materials, packaging processing and finished goods the Exhibition is interesting, delectable and certainly a gastronomical delight.

It is the only exhibition of its kind featuring all manner of confectionery – both sweet and savoury in the region. The items on display and sale not only include Middle East oriented sweets and snacks but also International varieties as well.

The Exhibition which is open only to industry personnel, either trade or business related, is scheduled to take place for the 7th time, in Dubai, from the 17th to the 19th of November 2013. It is not only an opportunity to see and sample some of the best creations of its kind but also to meet with industry professionals who are leading personnel in the business. Bringing together key demand and supply personnel has been one of the hallmarks of this amazing exhibition.

With the demand for snacks that are healthy and filling steadily increasing, the sweets and snacks industry itself has seen an immense development in the past few years. If you are a person who is interested or have some stake in the industry hurry and enroll yourself online and receive your entry badge that allows you entry to all three exhibitions held in conjunction.

Sri Lanka is a beautiful island paradise that has to be on a travellers list. Without this place, any list is deemed incomplete. The people, the culture and so much more is something all tourists look forward to. Through not hailing from a Christian culture, Sri Lanka has strong influences of the Christianity and Catholicism due to colonial rule that governed the island in the past. There is a rich heritage left behind and therefore many Sri Lankans today celebrate the globally renowned festival of Christmas. Christmas in Sri Lanka is a great time of the year owing to the wonderful tropical climate and beautiful island. Christmas and New Year celebrations happen mostly on beachside simply because Sri Lanka is an island paradise and surrounded by water.

The hospitality of the Sri Lankan people is world-renowned. Even if some do not celebrate Christmas, they make sure that you will make memories to last a lifetime and give you the best experience ever.

When on the island try looking for a tour group to get you around and make the most of your experience. There are safaris that could be taken and so much more that could be done. Deepavali, a vibrant festival

The colourful celebration of Deepavali is one of the most significant festivals for Hindu communities around the world. The Hindu faithful form a significant proportion of the residents of Singapore and are concentrated in the neighbourhood of Little India. Deepavali or the Festival of Lights as the occasion is also known occurs in the latter part of the year and is much looked forward to.
The festival celebrates good overcoming evil and the victory of light over darkness. There are many legends associated with this occasion. The story goes that there was once a tyrannical ruler called Narakasura who oppressed his subjects. The people appealed to Lord Krishna for help and the deity duly vanquished and killed the tyrant. To welcome the victorious Lord Krishna on that pitch black night the townspeople lit a multitude of oil lamps, and even today the Hindu faithful mark this victory by lighting the festive lights during Deepavali.

On the festival days Hindus attire themselves in new garments, and snacks and sweetmeats are distributed. Certain Hindu communities commence the fiscal year on the day of Deepavali as this is considered to be auspicious. In Singapore just as in Indian societies in many nations around the world women take the opportunity to decorate their hands with henna designs. Many henna artists provide their services free of charge at this time.
At the time of Deepavali the avenues of Little India are vibrantly decorated and adorned with colourful embellishments. Exuberantly vivid lights and arches are set up and there is a discernible festive ambience in the air. Many attractive bazaars are set up and an array of special cultural events are organized, such as street parades, craft exhibitions and musical concerts. Everywhere you will see prayer garlands, fragrant blooms, the ubiquitous oil lamps and elaborate attire, particularly saris.
To experience the festive spirit all you need to do is to order a delicious milk tea at one of the roadside cafes and watch the celebratory activities of the locals.
If you are considering Singapore hotels an outstanding choice would be the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Singapore. These excellent hotels in Singaporeoffer quality accommodations and attentive hospitality.
